Products and equipment containing or requiring fluorinated greenhouse gases may be placed on the market, supplied or made available to third parties only if labelled. This covers refrigeration equipment, air-conditioning equipment, heat pumps, fire protection equipment, electrical switchgear, aerosol dispensers, all containers, F-gas based solvents and Organic Rankine cycles. The label states that the product contains or requires the gas, its industrial or chemical designation and, since 1 January 2017, the quantity by weight and in CO2 equivalent together with the global warming potential; it must be clearly legible, indelible and in the official languages of the Member State. Additional statements under Article 12(2) and (5) to (15) apply to foams and polyol pre-blends, refilled, reclaimed or recycled containers, containers for destruction, export, military equipment, semiconductor manufacturing, feedstock use and metered dose inhalers, and to products covered by an exemption. The information under paragraphs 3 and 5 must also appear in the instruction manuals and, where the global warming potential is 150 or more, in advertising descriptions. The provision applies from 1 January 2025.

Erzeugnisse und Einrichtungen, die fluorierte Treibhausgase enthalten oder zum Funktionieren benötigen, dürfen nur gekennzeichnet in Verkehr gebracht, geliefert oder Dritten bereitgestellt werden. Erfasst sind Kälteanlagen, Klimaanlagen, Wärmepumpen, Brandschutzeinrichtungen, elektrische Schaltanlagen, Aerosolzerstäuber, alle Behälter, Lösungsmittel auf F-Gas-Basis und Organic-Rankine-Kreisläufe. Die Kennzeichnung nennt den Hinweis auf das enthaltene Gas, seine industrielle oder chemische Bezeichnung und seit dem 1. Januar 2017 Menge in Gewicht und CO₂-Äquivalent sowie das Treibhauspotenzial; sie ist deutlich lesbar, dauerhaft und in den Amtssprachen des Mitgliedstaats anzubringen. Für Schäume und Polyol-Vorgemische, wieder aufgefüllte, aufgearbeitete oder recycelte Behälter, Behälter für Zerstörung, Ausfuhr, Militärausrüstung, Halbleiterfertigung, Ausgangsstoffe und Dosier-Aerosole sowie für Erzeugnisse unter einer Ausnahmeregelung gelten die zusätzlichen Angaben nach Artikel 12 Absätze 2 und 5 bis 15. Die Angaben nach Absatz 3 und Absatz 5 sind zudem in die Bedienungsanleitungen und bei einem Treibhauspotenzial ab 150 auch in Werbebeschreibungen aufzunehmen. Die Vorschrift gilt seit dem 1. Januar 2025.
