Products and equipment subject to a placing-on-the-market ban may no longer be placed on the market from the relevant date; the bans are staggered by product type, capacity and global warming potential of the gas contained. Stationary refrigeration: domestic refrigerators and freezers with hydrofluorocarbons with a GWP of 150 or more since 1 January 2015 and with any fluorinated greenhouse gases since 1 January 2026; commercial self-contained refrigerators and freezers with hydrofluorocarbons with a GWP of 2 500 or more since 1 January 2020, of 150 or more since 1 January 2022, and with other fluorinated greenhouse gases with a GWP of 150 or more since 1 January 2025; self-contained refrigeration equipment other than chillers from a GWP of 150 since 1 January 2025; other refrigeration equipment from a GWP of 2 500 since 1 January 2020 or 1 January 2025 and from 150 from 1 January 2030; multipack centralised refrigeration systems for commercial use of 40 kW or more from a GWP of 150 since 1 January 2022, except in the primary refrigerant circuit of cascade systems up to a GWP of 1 500. Chillers: hydrofluorocarbons from a GWP of 2 500 since 1 January 2020; up to and including 12 kW, fluorinated greenhouse gases from a GWP of 150 from 1 January 2027 and any from 1 January 2032; above 12 kW from a GWP of 750 from 1 January 2027. Stationary air-conditioning and heat pumps: plug-in room air-conditioners with hydrofluorocarbons from a GWP of 150 since 1 January 2020; self-contained equipment up to 12 kW from 150 from 1 January 2027 and without limit from 1 January 2032, above 12 kW up to 50 kW from 150 from 1 January 2027, the remainder from 150 from 1 January 2030; single split systems below 3 kg from 750 since 1 January 2025, air-to-water split systems up to 12 kW from 150 from 1 January 2027, air-to-air split systems up to 12 kW from 150 from 1 January 2029, split systems above 12 kW from 750 from 1 January 2029 and from 150 from 1 January 2033, and split systems up to 12 kW without limit from 1 January 2035; stationary double-duct units count as split systems. Other products: non-refillable containers, non-confined direct evaporation systems and tyres since 4 July 2007; fire protection equipment with perfluorocarbons since 4 July 2007, with HFC-23 since 1 January 2016 and with fluorinated greenhouse gases since 1 January 2025; windows for homes since 4 July 2007 and other windows since 4 July 2008; footwear since 4 July 2006; one-component foams from a GWP of 150 since 4 July 2008; extruded polystyrene from 150 since 1 January 2020, other foams from 150 since 1 January 2023 and foams with any fluorinated greenhouse gases from 1 January 2033; novelty aerosols and signal horns from 150 since 4 July 2009; technical aerosols from 150 since 1 January 2018 and with any fluorinated greenhouse gases from 1 January 2030; personal care products with fluorinated greenhouse gases and skin-cooling equipment from 150 since 1 January 2025. In each case, what is required to meet site safety requirements or national safety standards or for medical applications is exempt. Parts for the repair and servicing of existing equipment remain permitted as long as they increase neither capacity nor charge nor global warming potential. Goods unlawfully placed on the market may not be used, supplied, made available or exported; one year after the relevant date, lawfully placed goods may be passed on only with proof of lawful placing on the market. The duty binds manufacturers, importers, distributors and anyone supplying the products or making them available to third parties.

Januar 2026; gewerbliche, in sich geschlossene Kühl- und Gefriergeräte mit teilfluorierten Kohlenwasserstoffen ab 2 500 seit dem 1. Januar 2020, ab 150 seit dem 1. Januar 2022 und mit anderen fluorierten Treibhausgasen ab 150 seit dem 1. Januar 2025; in sich geschlossene Kälteanlagen außer Kühlern ab 150 seit dem 1. Januar 2025; sonstige Kälteanlagen ab 2 500 seit dem 1. Januar 2020 beziehungsweise dem 1. Januar 2025 und ab 150 ab dem 1. Januar 2030; mehrteilige zentralisierte Kälteanlagen für die gewerbliche Verwendung ab 40 kW Nennleistung ab 150 seit dem 1. Januar 2022, ausgenommen der primäre Kältemittelkreislauf in Kaskadensystemen bis zu einem Treibhauspotenzial von 1 500. Kühler: teilfluorierte Kohlenwasserstoffe ab 2 500 seit dem 1. Januar 2020; bis einschließlich 12 kW Nennleistung fluorierte Treibhausgase ab 150 ab dem 1. Januar 2027 und überhaupt ab dem 1. Januar 2032; über 12 kW ab 750 ab dem 1. Januar 2027. Ortsfeste Klimaanlagen und Wärmepumpen: steckerfertige Raumklimageräte mit teilfluorierten Kohlenwasserstoffen ab 150 seit dem 1. Januar 2020; in sich geschlossene Geräte bis 12 kW ab 150 ab dem 1. Januar 2027 und ohne Grenze ab dem 1. Januar 2032, über 12 kW bis 50 kW ab 150 ab dem 1. Januar 2027, die übrigen ab 150 ab dem 1. Januar 2030; Mono-Splitsysteme unter 3 kg ab 750 seit dem 1. Januar 2025, Luft-Wasser-Splitsysteme bis 12 kW ab 150 ab dem 1. Januar 2027, Luft-Luft-Splitsysteme bis 12 kW ab 150 ab dem 1. Januar 2029, Splitsysteme über 12 kW ab 750 ab dem 1. Januar 2029 und ab 150 ab dem 1. Januar 2033 sowie Splitsysteme bis 12 kW ohne Grenze ab dem 1. Januar 2035; ortsfeste Zweikanalgeräte gelten als Splitsysteme. Sonstige Erzeugnisse: nicht wieder auffüllbare Behälter, nichtgeschlossene Direktverdampfungssysteme und Reifen seit dem 4. Juli 2007; Brandschutzeinrichtungen mit perfluorierten Kohlenwasserstoffen seit dem 4. Juli 2007, mit HFKW-23 seit dem 1. Januar 2016 und mit fluorierten Treibhausgasen seit dem 1. Januar 2025; Fenster für Wohnhäuser seit dem 4. Juli 2007 und sonstige Fenster seit dem 4. Juli 2008; Fußbekleidung seit dem 4. Juli 2006; Einkomponentenschäume ab 150 seit dem 4. Juli 2008; extrudiertes Polystyrol ab 150 seit dem 1. Januar 2020, andere Schäume ab 150 seit dem 1. Januar 2023 und Schäume mit fluorierten Treibhausgasen überhaupt ab dem 1. Januar 2033; Aerosolgeneratoren für Unterhaltungs- und Dekorationszwecke sowie Signalhörner ab 150 seit dem 4. Juli 2009; technische Aerosole ab 150 seit dem 1. Januar 2018 und überhaupt ab dem 1. Januar 2030; Körperpflegeprodukte mit fluorierten Treibhausgasen und Einrichtungen zur Hautkühlung ab 150 seit dem 1. Januar 2025. Ausgenommen ist jeweils, was zur Einhaltung der Sicherheitsanforderungen am Standort oder nationaler Sicherheitsnormen oder für medizinische Anwendungen erforderlich ist. Ersatzteile für Reparatur und Wartung bestehender Einrichtungen bleiben zulässig, solange sie weder Leistung noch Füllmenge noch Treibhauspotenzial erhöhen. Unrechtmäßig in Verkehr gebrachte Ware darf weder verwendet noch geliefert, bereitgestellt oder ausgeführt werden; ein Jahr nach dem jeweiligen Stichtag ist die Weitergabe rechtmäßig in Verkehr gebrachter Ware nur mit Nachweis der Rechtmäßigkeit zulässig. Verpflichtet sind Hersteller, Einführer, Vertreiber und alle, die die Erzeugnisse liefern oder Dritten bereitstellen.
