Description (English)
From 1 January 2027 Section 60a applies in a new version. Heat pumps commissioned after 31 December 2023 as a heating system in a building with at least six dwellings or other self-contained units, or for feeding a building network with at least six connected units, must undergo an operational check after a complete heating season and at the latest two years after commissioning, where the heat pump is operated for space heating and hot water. The exemption is new: the duty does not apply to heat pumps subject to remote monitoring or covered by a maintenance contract. Only heat pumps without remote monitoring and without a maintenance contract must be re-checked at least every five years. The former catalogue of check items is dropped; the operational check now covers the settings and components relevant to the operation, function and efficiency of the heat pump. The result and any need for optimisation must be recorded in writing; necessary optimisation measures must be carried out within one year. Further references: Section 60a(1) to (4) as in force from 1 January 2027, Section 108(1), points 8 and 10.
Description (German)
Ab dem 1. Januar 2027 gilt § 60a in neuer Fassung.
