Description (English)
Separate equipment requirements apply when heating, cooling and ventilation systems and hot water supply systems are installed or replaced. Central heating systems must be fitted with central automatic devices for reducing and shutting off the heat supply and for switching electric drives on and off (Section 61); water heating connected to a local or district heating supply without a heat exchanger is governed by Section 62. Heating installations must be fitted with devices for room-by-room temperature control (Section 63), and circulation and recirculation pumps must be selected under Section 64. For air conditioning and other ventilation systems, the limitation of electrical power (Section 65), the control of humidification and dehumidification (Section 66), the control of air flow rates (Section 67) and heat recovery (Section 68) apply. Heat distribution and hot water pipes and fittings must be insulated under Section 69 and Annex 8, cold distribution and chilled water pipes under Section 70. Section 57 additionally prohibits alterations that worsen energy quality. Compliance is regularly evidenced through the contractor declaration under Section 96(1), points 3 to 7. Further references: Sections 61 to 70, Annex 8, Section 110, Section 108(1), points 12 to 14.
