Description (English)
Compliance with the total energy performance requirements for existing non-residential buildings must be evidenced on request of the authority competent under Land law. Evidence may be given by an energy performance certificate or in another suitable way, provided the total energy performance of the building is set out there. An energy demand certificate issued before 1 January 2027 may be used only under conditions: until 31 December 2032 the non-renewable primary energy demand shown on it must not exceed 0.5 times the end value of the efficiency scale shown on it, and from 1 January 2033 not more than 0.4 times that value. Beyond those limits a new certificate or other suitable evidence is needed. Further references: Section 40(1) and (2) and Section 41 as in force from 1 January 2027.
