From 1 January 2040 the minimum percentages rise to 50 % for contact-sensitive packaging with PET as the main component, 25 % for contact-sensitive packaging made of other plastics, 65 % for single-use plastic beverage bottles and 65 % for all other plastic packaging. The calculation basis, sourcing requirements and exemptions mirror the first stage. By 12 February 2032 the Commission is to review under Article 7(14) whether the 2040 values are achievable and may adjust them under Article 7(13).

Ab dem 1.
