Suppliers of packaging or packaging materials hand over to the manufacturer all information and documents the manufacturer needs to demonstrate the conformity of the packaging and packaging materials with the Regulation, including the technical documentation required under Annex VII and Articles 5 to 11. The documents must be provided in one or more languages easily understood by the manufacturer, either on paper or electronically (Article 16(1)). For contact-sensitive packaging, Article 16(2) adds the information and documents required by the relevant Union acts for such packaging.
