Every operator of publicly accessible recharging and refuelling points for alternative fuels or — in accordance with the arrangements between them — the owner sets up an application programming interface providing free and unrestricted access to the data referred to in Article 20(2) and communicates information about that interface to the national access points. The interface must meet the common technical requirements laid down by the Commission in delegated acts under Article 20(6), so that automated and uniform data exchange with data users is possible. This is a different task from making the data available: it requires building an interface and notifying the national body.
