At publicly accessible recharging points with a rated output of 50 kW or more, the ad hoc price charged by the operator is based on the price per kWh of electricity supplied. In addition, the operator may charge a fee per minute to discourage long occupancy of the point — the time component may therefore only come on top of the per-kWh price, not replace it. Under Article 5(4), fourth subparagraph, the requirement applies to all points erected from 13 April 2024.

An öffentlich zugänglichen Ladepunkten mit einer Ladeleistung von 50 kW oder mehr beruht der vom Betreiber berechnete Ad-hoc-Preis auf dem Preis pro Kilowattstunde für den gelieferten Strom. Zusätzlich darf der Betreiber eine Nutzungsgebühr als Preis pro Minute erheben, um eine lange Belegung des Ladepunkts zu verhindern — die Zeitkomponente darf also nur neben den kWh-Preis treten, nicht an dessen Stelle. Die Anforderung gilt nach Artikel 5 Absatz 4 Unterabsatz 4 für alle ab dem 13. April 2024 errichteten Ladepunkte.
