Adoption of the Regulation by the European Parliament and the Council.
The Regulation enters into force on the twentieth day following its publication in the Official Journal of 22 September 2023.
General start of application of the Regulation.
Directive 2014/94/EU and Delegated Regulations (EU) 2019/1745 and (EU) 2021/1444 are repealed.
Existing publicly accessible recharging points must be digitally connected; existing hydrogen refuelling points must accept electronic ad hoc payment.
Direct current recharging points must have a permanently attached cable; operators and owners must make static and dynamic data available.
New connector standards of Annex II apply to recharging points erected or refurbished from this date.
The data under Article 20(2) must additionally be made available in the relevant alternative fuels data model in DATEX II format complying at least with CEN/TS 16157-10:2022.
Existing publicly accessible recharging points of 50 kW or more along the TEN-T road network or on a safe and secure parking area must carry a card reader or a contactless device.
Publicly accessible recharging points erected or refurbished from this date must comply with EN ISO 15118-20:2022; private recharging points erected or refurbished from this date must comply with EN IEC 61851-1:2019 or EN ISO 15118-20:2022.
