From 1 January 2027 anyone constructing a residential building with more than three parking spaces inside the building or more than three adjacent parking spaces must, in addition to fitting out the parking spaces, ensure that at least one recharging point is installed. The duty does not apply on a major renovation of an existing residential building. A recharging point installed or replaced from 1 January 2027 must allow smart recharging. For projects whose building application was made by the end of 31 December 2026, the previous requirements continue to apply; they required no recharging point for residential buildings.

Ab dem 1. Januar 2027 hat, wer ein Wohngebäude mit mehr als drei Stellplätzen innerhalb des Gebäudes oder mit mehr als drei angrenzenden Stellplätzen errichtet, zusätzlich zur Ausstattung der Stellplätze dafür zu sorgen, dass mindestens ein Ladepunkt errichtet wird. Bei der größeren Renovierung eines bestehenden Wohngebäudes besteht diese Pflicht nicht. Ein ab dem 1. Januar 2027 errichteter oder ersetzter Ladepunkt muss intelligentes Laden ermöglichen. Für Vorhaben, deren Bauantrag bis zum Ablauf des 31. Dezember 2026 gestellt wurde, gelten die bisherigen Anforderungen weiter; sie verlangten bei Wohngebäuden keinen Ladepunkt.
