The Regulation was adopted as Article 1 of the Ordinance of 14 April 2026 and entered into force on 17 April 2026 under Article 3 of that Ordinance. It replaces the Chemicals Climate Protection Ordinance of 2 July 2008.
Until the end of this day, Section 3(2), Section 10(2) no. 3 and Section 10(3) continue to apply in the version in force until 16 April 2026.
For the equipment in Article 5(3), first subparagraph, points (b) and (c) of Regulation (EU) 2024/573, Sections 5, 10 and 14 apply only from this date.
Until the end of this day, certificates of competence, certificates and company certificates issued under the previous law remain valid. After that, only evidence under Sections 6, 7 and 10 is valid.
An undertaking applying for a company certificate before the end of this day may, for nine months from the application, evidence the requirements with its old company certificate and an acknowledgement of receipt.
From this date the requirement applies that attendance at a refresher course must not date back more than seven years.
