The manufacturer must have procedures in place to keep series production in conformity, taking due account of changes to the development or production process, to the design or characteristics of the product, and to the standards or specifications relied upon.

Dabei sind Änderungen am Entwicklungs- und Herstellungsverfahren, an der Konzeption oder an den Merkmalen des Produkts angemessen zu berücksichtigen, ebenso Änderungen der harmonisierten Normen, der europäischen Cybersicherheitszertifizierungsschemata oder der gemeinsamen Spezifikationen, auf die sich die Konformitätserklärung stützt. Für Zulieferer mit hohen Stückzahlen bedeutet das, Änderungen an Firmware, Toolchain oder Komponentenquellen in die Konformitätsbewertung zurückzuspielen.
