On a reasoned request from a market surveillance authority, all information and documents needed to demonstrate conformity must be provided in paper or electronic form, in a language the authority readily understands, and the operator must cooperate on any measures to eliminate the cybersecurity risks.

Auf begründetes Verlangen einer Marktüberwachungsbehörde sind alle Informationen und Unterlagen vorzulegen, die den Nachweis der Konformität des Produkts und der Verfahren des Herstellers mit den grundlegenden Cybersicherheitsanforderungen erlauben — in Papierform oder elektronisch und in einer Sprache, die die Behörde leicht versteht. Dazu kommt die Zusammenarbeit bei allen Maßnahmen zur Abwendung der Cybersicherheitsrisiken. Die Pflicht trifft den Hersteller (Artikel 13 Absatz 22), den Bevollmächtigten (Artikel 18 Absatz 3 Buchstaben b und c), den Einführer (Artikel 19 Absatz 7) und den Händler (Artikel 20 Absatz 5). Für den Verwalter quelloffener Software steht dieselbe Mitwirkung in seiner eigenen Pflicht, weil er nicht unter das Regelwerk dieser Pflicht fällt. Auf Verlangen können die Behörden auch die Software-Stückliste anfordern (Artikel 13 Absatz 25).
