As soon as an importer or distributor becomes aware of a vulnerability in a product with digital elements they must inform the manufacturer without delay, and where the product presents a significant cybersecurity risk also the market surveillance authorities.

Die Pflicht ist von der Meldepflicht des Herstellers nach Artikel 14 zu trennen, weil sie einen anderen Verpflichteten und einen anderen Adressaten hat.
