An authorised representative performs the tasks set out in the written mandate from the manufacturer and provides a copy of that mandate to the market surveillance authorities on request. The manufacturer's obligations under Article 13(1) to (11), the first subparagraph of Article 13(12) and Article 13(14) cannot form part of the mandate.

Ein Bevollmächtigter nimmt die Aufgaben wahr, die ihm der Hersteller schriftlich übertragen hat, und legt den Marktüberwachungsbehörden auf Verlangen eine Kopie des Auftrags vor. Nicht übertragbar sind die Pflichten des Herstellers nach Artikel 13 Absätze 1 bis 11, Absatz 12 Unterabsatz 1 und Absatz 14 — Produktgestaltung, Risikobewertung, Schwachstellenbehandlung und Serienkonformität bleiben beim Hersteller.
