Implement an energy or environmental management system

Draw up and publish implementation plans for economically viable final energy savings measures

Have the implementation plans confirmed before publication

Submit evidence on the management system within four weeks when ordered to do so

Operate an existing data centre with a power usage effectiveness of 1.5 or below from 1 July 2027

Operate an existing data centre with a power usage effectiveness of 1.3 or below from 1 July 2030

Build and operate a new data centre with a power usage effectiveness of 1.2 or below

Achieve the required share of reused energy in the data centre

Cover half of the data centre's electricity consumption with electricity from renewable sources on a balance-sheet basis

Cover the data centre's electricity consumption entirely with electricity from renewable sources on a balance-sheet basis

Implement and operate an energy or environmental management system for the data centre

Have the energy or environmental management system validated or certified

Publish the data centre information annually and transmit it to the Federation

Present the customer-specific energy consumption to customers

Avoid waste heat in line with the state of the art and reduce it to the unavoidable share

Reuse the waste heat arising

Provide information on the waste heat arising on request

Transmit the waste heat information annually to the Federal Office for Energy Efficiency

Have the energy or environmental management system validated or certified
