From 1 January 2026 the energy or environmental management system of the data centre must be validated or certified. The requirement does not apply to data centres that are scheduled to be decommissioned before 1 July 2027; evidence of this must be provided.

Ab dem 1. Januar 2026 ist das Energie- oder Umweltmanagementsystem des Rechenzentrums zu validieren oder zu zertifizieren. Die Anforderung gilt nicht für Rechenzentren, die plangemäß vor dem 1. Juli 2027 außer Betrieb gehen; dafür sind Nachweise zu erbringen.
