The Regulation entered into force on 1 August 2017, on the fourth day following its publication in the Official Journal of 28 July 2017.
The obligations of suppliers and dealers under this Regulation apply from 1 August 2017. Article 4 on the product database is the exception and applies later.
Directive 2010/30/EU was repealed with effect from 1 August 2017. Delegated acts based on it remain in force until they are replaced product group by product group.
The obligations of suppliers relating to the product database apply only from 1 January 2019. Since then a new model must be entered in the database before it is placed on the market.
Models placed on the market between 1 August 2017 and 1 January 2019 had to be entered in the product database by 30 June 2019. The deadline has passed; anything still missing is a legacy gap.
