The company is a transmission or distribution system operator for electricity within the meaning of Article 2, points (35) and (29), of Directive (EU) 2019/944, or a transmission or distribution system operator for gas within the meaning of Article 2, points (4) and (6), of Directive 2009/73/EC: a natural or legal person responsible for operating, ensuring the maintenance of and, if necessary, developing the system in a given area and, where applicable, its interconnections with other systems, and for ensuring the long-term ability of the system to meet reasonable demands for the transmission or distribution of electricity or gas.
